Method 1: Check the network connection
To fix Intuit QuickBooks error H202, you need to ping your server from the affected workstation to check network connectivity.
Note: If you do not know the server name, you must enable network discovery on your server computer and the workstation where the error occurred.
Follow the steps below to ping your server:
• Type Run in the Windows search bar to open the Run window.
• Type cmd here and press Enter.
• You must ping the server name by typing ping [server name] and then press Enter on the workstation.
Note: You must leave a space between ping and your server name. Also, do not add parentheses when writing the server name.

• Select the Restart service option from the drop-down menu: First Error, Second Error, and Subsequent Errors.
• When done, click Apply, then OK to save the changes.
You need to repeat the above steps for QBCFMonitorService. After completing the above steps, open QuickBooks on each workstation. Then click the File menu and select the Switch to Multi-User Mode option. Now you can open whatever you want because your QuickBooks error H202 is fixed.

Method 6: Add your server to the Windows hosts file
Edit this file to add your computer server to the Windows hosts file. Additionally, you can proceed as follows:
• Open the Windows hosts file by browsing to one of the following paths:
o C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc.
o C:\Windows\Syswow64\Drivers\Etc.
• Then double-click the hosts file.
• When asked how you want to open this file, select Notepad.
• In the hosts file, enter the IP address of the server followed by the server name.
Note: To separate the IP address and server name, you must use the TAB key.
• Choose Save from the File menu.

Method 7: Create a new folder for your QBW files

• Type *.ND in the Windows search box and press Enter.
• Right-click the .ND file and click Delete.
• Confirm deletion when prompted.
• Click the Start icon.
• Choose All Programs > QuickBooks > QuickBooks Database Server Manager.
